The Karachi Water & Sewerage Board is in receipt of a credit through EAD, Government of Pakistan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) / Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the counterpart share of funds from GOS for the Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to make payments against the consulting services. The consulting services ("Assessment of Energy Efficiency, Load Management & Renewable Energy Options for KW&SB's Water and Wastewater Installations") includea detailed energy and water audit of the KW&SB's Pumping, Filtration and Treatment systems pertaining to both water supply and sewerage (excluding Dhabeji Pumping Complex) and to identify, assess and recommend opportunities for improving energy efficiency and load management in order to reduce operational costs, consistent with global best practices and to increase KW&SB's capacity for delivering water and sewerage services in a well performing manner. The implementation period of the assignment is 08-months, which is likely to commence in March 2020. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the services.
